A Lingering Summer

3 outfit ideas for a summer that is slowly coming to an end

If you live in the south, you probably already know that the summer's heat doesn't end when school starts. Here in Austin we will probably continue to see these 85+ days until the end of September, maybe even October. Because of this, I decided to put together a few "End of Summer" outfits that I hope will inspire others to continue to embrace the summer until it fully comes to a stop.

Wear something like this to an upcoming festival like The Pecan Street Fest or Austin City Limits. A floppy sun hat is the perfect accessory for a crop top and high-waisted shorts. Add bracelets and a cute pair of pointed flats and you have an incredible day time outfit.

This outfit is perfect for a day lounging around the house or a study sesh with the girls. Pair a basic cotton shirt with a lightweight, printed, baggy pant, and simple black flats. Add fun bracelets and rings.
A long chain necklace completes the look. Look great and stay comfortable all day!

This is a great transitioning outfit from summer to fall. A black and white T goes great with a black maxi skirt. The open back adds a fun detail. Pair this with simple silver and black jewelry. This look is great for going to class or having brunch with friends.

There are many vintage stores in Austin, but there is one that truly stands out among the rest. Big Bertha's Paradise, located on North Loop. There seems to be an endless amount of fabulous vintage fashion despite the stores size. I could spend hours in there! From Chanel to Gianni Versace the clothing and accessories are breath taking. This store has so much to offer for Austin locals or for a traveling fashionista just passing through. And don't be intimidated by the designer labels, there are many other pieces that are in a lower price range as well. If you don't fall in love with the fashions you will surely fall in love with the owner, Henry. This store is all around amazing!
There are items also available online.

I was lucky enough to be able to try on this Chanel wool coat from 1998 with a matching fanny pack belt. It was the first Chanel piece I have ever tried on and it felt incredible!
