3 outfit ideas for a summer that is slowly coming to an end

If you live in the south, you probably already know that the summer's heat doesn't end when school starts. Here in Austin we will probably continue to see these 85+ days until the end of September, maybe even October. Because of this, I decided to put together a few "End of Summer" outfits that I hope will inspire others to continue to embrace the summer until it fully comes to a stop.

Wear something like this to an upcoming festival like The Pecan Street Fest or Austin City Limits. A floppy sun hat is the perfect accessory for a crop top and high-waisted shorts. Add bracelets and a cute pair of pointed flats and you have an incredible day time outfit.

This outfit is perfect for a day lounging around the house or a study sesh with the girls. Pair a basic cotton shirt with a lightweight, printed, baggy pant, and simple black flats. Add fun bracelets and rings.
A long chain necklace completes the look. Look great and stay comfortable all day!

This is a great transitioning outfit from summer to fall. A black and white T goes great with a black maxi skirt. The open back adds a fun detail. Pair this with simple silver and black jewelry. This look is great for going to class or having brunch with friends.

The crowd was full of excitement at The Xgames Austin. It seemed that the amount of fans were endless. You could hear the audience roar at The BMX Big air final as Morgan Wade, from Tyler, Texas rolled up to the ramp with the Texas flag pinned to the back of his shirt. Standing in the audience at The Mac Miller Concert was a whole other experience! There were so many people it was impossible for most of them to be able to actually see the stage. This 4-day event was exhausting yet tons of fun!
And of course there was amazing fashion. Plenty of crop tops with high waisted shorts, printed snapback hats, and sneakers.

Crop Tops and High Waists

This trend seems to be everywhere! Young women are wearing this to the xgames, downtown, and just everyday. When done right this is a trend I absolutely love! The girl on the right has got this trend spot on. Pairing a bright floral crop trop with a matching high waisted skirt and a snapback hat. The girl on the left is read for a hot day at a Texas event. Wearing a cropped top and tennis shoes is ideal for the heat and all the walking from event to event.  Click Here to Link to an Eco Option

Many people were stopping by The Neon South booth to check out their custom designed tank and snapbacks. Being that they are a Texas based company it isn't surprising that they had awesome Texas merchandise. They featured a "Don't Tread On Me" tank top, tropics floral and aztec print hats. They even had Texan fanny packs! Be sure to check them out next time you see them at an event or festival.. these are one of a kind designs that you can't find anywhere else!

Stay covered but cool by adding a kaftan over leggings and a printed sunhat. Kristen did a great job at mixing prints by using a blurred blue and white aztec print and large florals.

The S/S 2014 crochet trend is a cute way to handle the heat. Stay comfortable for a full day of walking with converse.

A straw fedora hat is a great way to keep your face shaded in the summer time.
